      Stalin          -Stalin

Cast- Chiranjeevi, Trisha, Prakashraj, Sunil, Sharada and others

Director- AR Murugadoss

Music- Mani Sharma

Verdict- Treat for his fans and everybody alike!

AR Murugadoss probably took a huge risk by not portraying Chiranjeevi as a super-mega-human being in ‘Stalin’, but that has turned out to be the biggest point in favor for the film.

Chiranjeevi is Major Stalin, an Armyman who opts for voluntary retirement and lives a quiet life with his mother. He had quit the army after a huge battle and because of his unhappiness at the way some senior officers handled certain issues.

Stalin believes in the simple adage of giving back what you receive. If someone does something good to you, make sure that you return the favor by doing some act of kindness to three different people. That way, each good deed gets tripled. Of course, Stalin finds that it isn’t all that easy. He also has a pet cause- helping the physically disabled people in his area.

Stalin’s sister Jhansi (played by Khushboo) falls in love with a Punjabi and gets married to him. The family isn’t happy about it and cut off all their communications with her.

Chiranjeevi, Trisha

But Stalin continues to be in touch with her. There is another motivation- he takes intense liking for her neighbor, Chitra (played by Trisha). Their romance is a treat to watch. Chiranjeevi and Trisha share an excellent onscreen chemistry.

Somewhere along the route, he ends up making enmity with the daughter of the state Home Minister (played by Prakashraj). A huge showdown leads to a brilliant climax.

In spite of the fact that Chiranjeevi is the undisputed Megastar of Tollywood, the performance of this film was crucial for him. Many claimed it as the make-or-break film for him. It looks like the director and the Megastar have delivered a very entertaining film this time!

‘Stalin’s music had already become a hit but after the film’s release, the sales are bound to skyrocket. The songs were filmed brilliantly, especially ‘Tauba re tauba’. Raju Sundaram and Lawrence Raghavendra took care of the choreographies. Sunil provides a perfect foil for the Megastar.
