Once upon a time, there was a set of twins who have nothing in common with each other when it comes to their natures and temperaments. Question- how many times have we seen this stuff before? But, it still is interesting to watch. Does 'Allari Pigudu' fit the profile? Read on…
Puneet Issar is a sincere military officer Chakravarthy who is wrongly accused by the villains, GK and his son, played by Mukesh Rishi and Rahul Dev. Chakravarthy has twin sons, Giri and Ranjit (played by Balakrishna). Giri grows up in a village. Everybody loves this gullible young man. Ranjit is an IPS officer. Both have a girlfriend each- Giri's cousin Subbulakshmi, played by Charmi is his girlfriend. Ranjit's girlfriend is Swathi, played by Katrina Kaif.
Ranjit uncovers GK's illegal activities and ends up becoming his Enemy No 1. Soon, his brother joins the list and a very predictable climax occurs.
Chaarmi and Katrina look glamorous. For no reasons at all, we get to see some beautiful foreign locations.
Such stories have universal charm. Unfortunately, 'Allari Pigudu' is a bit too predictable. In fact, you can actually predict what the characters are going to say and very often you will be right.
Three good things had happened to the film-
1. Balakrishna
2. The heroines' liberal glamour-shows
3. Music, which is very much above average.
Bad things-
1. Predictable and stale story and narration
