Vijay, the film’s hero, was keen on starring with the gorgeous Nayantara. Rumors claim that he had put pressure on the film’s producer to get her to do the film. For a while, it looked as if she is going to be the heroine. But Trisha made a surprise trip to Hyderabad and when she returned, she was announced as the heroine.
Nayantara was disappointed for a while, but she had other projects to keep herself busy with. The shooting began.
When the film finally hit the theatres, it showed no sign of box office potential. Within the first two days, reports started coming in that it had flopped.
None of the films that Nayantara had starred in, has done badly at the box office, a record that she could be proud of.
