Asin hopeful, Trisha disappointed
- 06.02.2008

For the past few years, whenever Rajinikanth announces a film, an intense media campaign would break out among the leading actresses of Tamil cinema, especially Asin and Trisha, to get the heroine role.

This time too, things were no different.

There are rumors that Trisha was hopeful that she would get an offer to star with the superstar in either 'Kuchelan'/ 'Kucheludu' or in his next Shankar film 'Robot'. 'Kuchelan' will have Nayantara and Tabu as the heroines. 'Robot' might have Aishwarya Rai, though Deepika Padukone's name still figures on the list. Trisha kept her callsheets free in case she gets an offer to star in the film but she has now wisely accepted other offers and has a handful of films.

Asin continues to strongly hope that she would get a call to star in the film. The fact that she is now working with Kamalhasan in 'Dasavathaaram' might help draw Rajini's attention to her.

But nothing is confirmed yet.
