There was once a time when she was easily one of the top contenders for the No 1 post in Bollywood. But, then came the rumors and romantic affairs and stories of her drinking problems. She took off to New York to study filmmaking. However, even after her return, she didn't quite make any film with her newly acquired knowledge. But ever since she returned, she had been busy starring in one controversial B-grade film after the other.
The actress is now getting ready to return to films through south Indian movies.
Until recently, she continued to enjoy immense popularity in South India.
But it looks as if she had drastically reduced her rates. She is going to appear in an item number in 'Nagaram' with Jagapathy Babu and Shrikanth in the main roles for a comparatively low rate of Rs 15 Lakhs!
Maybe it is her sincere urgency in reestablishing her career that she had accepted the offer at such a low price.
