Aishwarya Rai claims that she was surprised when Bachchan announced that the college was going to be launched in her name. The Aishwarya Bachchan Girls Intermediate College was inspired by a promise that Amar Singh made to the villages of Daulatpur that he intended to start a college.
Coincidentally, the college is going to be built at the same piece of land that was under dispute due to controversial allocation irregularities. The star-studded event also witnessed Amitabh adopting two girls and offering to pay their educational expenses. The entire event was organized by a Delhi-based NGO that is chaired by his wife Jaya.
Don't be surprised if Aishwarya ends up in politics before the end of the year.
