It is not often that a glamorous actress like Sherawat is invited as the chief guest at a function to mark a book release. But the rare event happened in Mumbai recently. Mallika was very excited. As expected, there was a huge crowd to see the actress at the venue.
When she rose to address the gathering, she realized to her horror that she knew nothing about the book that she was supposed to release- she didn't even know the name of the book or its writer. The organizers had forgotten to tell her anything about it either. She stood up, looked blank for quite a while and fumbled with a few words and then sat down.
The organizers thought that the actress would turn up in her usual glamorous push-up bikini-top like costumes. But she thought that since she was going to launch a book, she better get dressed formally and decently and was very properly attired for the occasion.
Anyway, the audience got to see a decently-dressed Mallika that day.
